New Review-Stranger In The Night

Stranger In the Night

Lacey Diamond
Paranormal erotic romance
Available from New Concepts Publishing
ISBN: 1-58608-987-0

Kimberly Marks, a web designer, after her divorce, bought a Victorian house. She preferred small town life to city life anyway, and had loved the house since a child. Her grandmother had told her a wonderful story that went along with the place. So she vowed then to make the house her own. Once she moved in the dreams began. Were they dreams?

What was it about the house that caused Kim's best friend Jill Dawson, a Realtor, to stay away? Didn't she sell houses? What was it about this house? What were the rumors, and why hadn't Kim heard anything until now? Will Kim have to do some research on her own to find out what lies behind those beautiful old doors? The same house that she and Tyler Canfield had danced and romped through?

Get ready for a shocker! This made for some seriously good suspense! After reading STRANGER IN THE NIGHT. Which, by the way, Kim and Tyler were awesome together! I loved those two! It was as if they were linked together by a heart chain. He made her laugh, and she lifted his spirits. one thing made me ponder. Kim was willing to buy the house sight unseen. I loved this part. Jill was against it. Why? This made for an intensely good, strong story!

Jill played a big role in the story. I liked her because she was stronger than Kim when it came to friendship, and she knew how to keep a secret. I liked the way the two conversed back and forth. This made it sound as though they were mad at each other all the time. This also showed how typical friendships are. And the way Jill kept this big secret from Kim, her best friend. This made the plot even better. I liked the pattern of events which helped to make the suspense tighten throughout the story, and kept my eyes frozen to each page to see what was going to happen next. I also loved the way Kim showed how courageous she was by remaining in a haunted house, and that she did not believe in ghosts anyway. And this made me wonder why Jill waited so long to tell Kim? The best part yet! What could be that horrible that Jill would not want to go into that particular house? Lacey Diamond should be proud of her great skill. Wonderful story!

Reading Pleasure

I'm in the habit of reading an hour or two before bedtime. I hadn't realized I'd been doing the majority of that reading on my laptop for quite a while now. I'm talking about pleasure reading--other authors work. Ebooks. I was out of town last night and without my laptop. You guessed it. I had to satisfy my reading pleasure with the little paperback I've been carrying around in my purse. Only instead of enjoying the nightly ritual I've become accustomed to, I became frustrated. Not with the writing because I can hardly remember what I read. My frustration was in trying to read the fine print. I had to dig out my magnifying glasses. Then there was the irritation each time I turned the page and had to reposition the book in my hands so the pages wouldn't flip back and I'd be on another page and have to figure out what page I'd been reading.

There is no denying it anymore. My personal reading preference is an ebook.

Working

I'm working on a new book and having so much fun it's almost shameful to call it work. The story is erotic. But, there's a whole lot of seriousness to it as well. Maybe a better word is sadness. I'm thinking readers will laugh, cry and experience some heat as well--want to grab their partner and do some hugging, kissing, and a whole lot more. I'm hopeful readers will read the last word with a satsified sigh and a smile.

I have a tentative title for the book. But I'm not ready to name it because I have a feeling it's about to change.

Here's a thought. How about I put out a few words and you take one or all and suggest a title. Sound good? Here goes: dirt, teapot, wishes, fairy, pink, minature, young, old.

New Review for Stranger In The Night

Thought you wouldn't mind if I shared the newest review I received for
STRANGER IN THE NIGHT.

Mysterious dreams of a sexy stranger have Kim waking excited in her new
home. When she tells her friend Jill about the dreams, Jill starts acting
strange and swears there is more to Kim's new home than she knows. But
for some reason, Jill doesn't want to tell her. Especially since something
disturbing happened to Jill first hand.

Unable to get the information from Jill, Kim begins doing her own research.
But meanwhile, she has actually met the man in her dreams. The attraction
is swift and consuming, and Kim allows this new relationship to take hold of
her. As things begin to unfold, Kim finds out the truth about her house and
figures out she can't let Tyler go. Ever.

Stranger in the Night is chilling, yet romantic. The quick pull between
Tyler and Kim is felt from the moment they meet. It's great. I felt like I
should be sitting around a camp fire while someone told me this story. It
has a ghost story feel to it that I thoroughly enjoyed. Lacey Diamond has
created great characters to bring this story to life.

Number Three!

I just received another great review for Stranger In The Night. Robin at My Book Cravings gave the book 5 Roses. Here's a snippet of the review:

STRANGER IN THE NIGHT is a sizzling and sexy story. Tyler is a hero who will take your breath away. Ms. Diamond has created a man that any woman would love to snuggle up to in the night, not to mention have a fun romp in the sack with. Kim is Tyler’s match in every way. She is an independent woman with a good head on her shoulders. The love story has both tender and intense moments and the love scenes will leave you panting. I loved the back story created surrounding the “curse”. The twist at the end was a wonderful addition to an already outstanding story. Do not miss out on STRANGER IN THE NIGHT! Log on to New Concepts Publishing today and buy a copy of this exciting story.

Stranger In The Night-Blurb

Okay, I apologize for not posting in a while again. Busy writing. Truthfully, I've been doing more reading than writing lately. Anybody read a good book recently? Must be something in the stars because I've been devouring the stack of ebooks stored on my laptop. I usually do this right before I speed write the first draft of a new book. I can feel it coming. Speaking of books, I don't think I ever posted a blurb of Stranger In The Night. So here goes.

****

Long ago, something terrible had happened in the old Victorian house that Kim was so lovingly restoring, but Kim doesn't believe in ghosts and she's certain that the man who invades her dreams night after night, giving her passion and pleasure such as she's never known, couldn't possibly be a ghost.

But her best friend, Jill, won't enter the house. Jill's convinced that a curse hangs over the house and no woman who lives there will ever find happiness.

****

I don't know about you, but if I didn't already know what happens, I'd want to read more. Have to run...Reading my own blurb gave me an idea for a new book.

Bad Bad Lacey

I've been a bad girl. Sorry I've been missing in action. The new year has gotten off to a crazy start on the homefront. There never seems to be a dull moment around the Diamond household. I've managed to do quite a bit of writing this month. Nothing new finished. But I'm getting close. I promise to return with good news soon. So please stay tuned.

For newcomers, you might want to take a look at my novella, STRANGER IN THE NIGHT. I guarantee the story is hot enough to melt your hard drive.
